I.B.T.S.'s Journal - Day

12:00AM - Killing time

While I wait to see what else I'm allowed to say about Alice, I'll kill some time.
First, I'll explain what the heck I.B.T.S. stands for.
The short answer is... Nothing.
At least not any more.
It did come from somewhere though.
As my friend Bill MacDougall remembers it, I would drive all my friends nuts with my aimless ranting and raving and when they'd had more than they could stand they'd act as if their heads were exploding. This was a subtle signal for me to shut up.
One friend, Kelvin Phillips, came up with a name for this reaction: "Insanity Breaks The Surface" or "I.B.T.S."
I'm not sure what that really meant but it sounded good at the time.
Over the years I.B.T.S. kind of left it's origin behind and became a place holder title for anything we couldn't find a name for. From fictional rock groups to...well...to the name of an on-line journal.

Come to think of it. If my on-line ramblings irritate anyone to the point they feel as if their head will explode, I guess I.B.T.S. will have come full circle back to it's original meaning.
